When you go to the makeup counter, they will often ask what skin tone you are. This is because there are different types of foundation and different shades of foundation that work better for certain skin tones.
There is a wide range of foundations available on the market today. The most common ones are liquid, cream, and powder foundations. These foundations come in different colors and shades that can match your skin tone better than others.
Determining Your Skin Tone
The best way to determine your skin tone is by looking at the veins on your wrist.
If you have a blue vein, then your skin tone is cool, and you should use a foundation that has an orange or yellow undertone.
If you have a green vein, then your skin tone is warm, and you should use a foundation with a pink or red undertone.
If you have no visible veins on your wrist, then it's hard to determine what your skin tone is. You can try to look at the veins on the inside of your elbow. If they are blue, then you likely have cool undertones and if they are green, then you likely have warm undertones.
